Privacy Policy

Our Commitment to Your Privacy

We want to make your online experience satisfying and safe. Because we gather certain types of information about you,  our visitors, we feel you should fully understand our policy and the terms and conditions surrounding the capture and use of that information. This privacy statement discloses what information we gather when you visit us and how we use it.

What sorts of information do you collect automatically?

For each visitor to our web site, our server automatically recognizes a visitor’s domain name but not the e-mail address. It also logs aggregate information on the pages visitors access or visit, but does not go on to record which pages individual visitors access or visit.

Do you use cookies?

Yes. We use cookies to store certain information about registered members, visitors preferences, and to customize our web page content based on the visitors’ browser type or other information that a visitor sends. Our advertising systems may deliver a one-time cookie to better track ad impressions and click through rates. All cookies are encrypted so that they can’t be used by another website.

You can of course refuse cookies by turning them off in your browser. If you’ve set your browser to warn you before you accept cookies, you’ll receive a warning message with each cookie. You do not need to have cookies turned on to use this site though. However, you do need cookies to participate actively in any message boards, forums, polling and surveys we may offer.

What other sorts of information do you collect?

We may offer you the opportunity to voluntarily chose whether to become a registered member. In doing so, we may collect your name, e-mail address, city, state, zip code, date of birth, and certain other voluntary personal information. We’ll also collect the email addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, and profile information volunteered by visitors.

Children

Consistent with the Federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without requesting parental consent. If we learn that we have personal information on a child under the age of 13, we will immediately delete that information from our systems.

What do you do with my personal information?

All the information collected remains completely confidential and is not shared with anyone other than the web site administrators. All of our web site administrators are instructed to maintain this confidentiality and are terminated  immediately if they are found in violation of this privacy policy. The information we collect is used for internal review and to improve the content of our web site and web pages.

The information we collect is not shared with other external persons, companies, or organizations except when required by law enforcement agencies in the process of criminal investigations. We do not sell your personal information.

Information collected may be used for site administration, for our marketing purposes, for processing transactions, and to provide services to you, our members. We send newsletters and other important system messages via email, but you have the option of not receiving these messages. You also have the option of which information is shared publicly in your profile if one exists.

We may choose to offer interactive polls to visitors so they can easily share their opinions with other visitors and see what our audience thinks about important issues. Opinions or other responses to polls are aggregated and are not identifiable to any particular user at all. We may use a system to “tag” users after they have voted, so they can vote only once on a particular question. But this tag is not correlated with information about individual users.

We may occasionally conduct user surveys to better tailor our content to our audience. We sometimes share the aggregated demographic information in these surveys with our sponsors, advertisers and partners. But we never share any information about specific individuals with any third party.

Usage tracking

MyOnlineMarketingCoach.com tracks user traffic patterns throughout the site. However, we don’t correlate this information with data about individual users. We do break down overall statistics according to a user’s domain name, browser type, and MIME type by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user’s browser).

We do sometimes track and catalog search terms that visitors enter in our Search function, but this tracking is never associated with individual visitors. We use this tracking information to determine which areas of our sites visitors like and don’t like based on traffic to those areas. We do not track what individual visitors read, but rather how well each page performs overall when compared to others. This helps us continue to build a better service and web site for you.

Do you partner with ad services which may collect info about me?

While we may partner with some ad services from time to time, they will only have access to information you consent to provide them.

MyOnlineMarketingCoach.com operates secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and improved as necessary and only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by our visitors and customers.

What will happen if this privacy policy changes?

From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in this privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future we will post the policy changes to our web site and provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses. Your continued use of our web site following the posting of changes to this privacy policy will mean you accept those changes. If you are concerned about how your information is used, you should check back at our web site periodically and especially this page. For any new purposes, we will use only data collected from the time of the policy change forward.

Can I find out what information you have about me?

Upon request we provide site visitors with access to all information [including proprietary information] that we maintain about them, including any unique identifier information (e.g., customer number or password) that we maintain about them, transactional information (e.g., dates on which customers made purchases, amounts and types of purchases) that we maintain about them, contact information (e.g., name, address, phone numbers) that we maintain about them, and a complete description of all the information that we maintain.

Consumers can access this information by sending us an email. We will attempt to verify the identity of the person requesting the information before we provide said information. Consumers can have this information corrected by also sending us an e-mail.

Opt-out Policy

We give users options wherever necessary and practical. Such choices include:

* Opting not to register to receive our electronic newsletters.
* Opting not to participate in certain interactive areas, which completely alleviates the need to gather any personally identifiable information from our visitors.

Your Consent

By using this site, you consent to the collection and use of this information by MyOnlineMarketingCoach.com in the ways described above.
